Privacy policy

This page explains what we do with the information you give us, who helps us with it, and what you are entitled to. In short: we use it to answer you and do the job. We do not sell it, and we do not track you around the web.

Who is responsible

When you send us an enquiry

The form asks for your name and phone number. The rest is up to you: email, address, how soon you need help, a message and photos. If you send the form from a page about a particular service or municipality, we store that too, along with the page you were on.

With the enquiry we store your IP address and which browser you used. That is to stop spam and abuse, not to find out more about you. Only we can see the photos you send.

We use the information to answer you, arrange an inspection, give you a quote and do the job. The legal basis is that you asked us to (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Andreas gets the enquiry by email and as a notification on his phone the moment it arrives.

When we have finished a job

After a job, Andreas often writes a short note and takes photos of the work. From these we make a project page on the website, a post for our Facebook page and sometimes a customer review. The note may include your name and what you said about the job.

We only publish your name and your words if you have said yes, and we record that you did. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will take it down. We use photos and descriptions of the work itself because we have a legitimate interest in showing what we do (Article 6(1)(f)). If you see something you would rather not have online, your house for example, tell us and we will remove it.

Photos from jobs are stored as files on the website. Anyone with the exact link to a photo can open it, and photos used on a published page are public.

Who helps us

These process information on our behalf, under agreement with us:

• Cloudflare runs the website. The database and files are stored in the EU. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person, and looks at your IP address and browser to do so.
• MailerSend sends the email that tells Andreas about new enquiries.
• Microsoft 365 is Andreas's email, where those notifications arrive.
• Anthropic helps us write about finished jobs. The note, the photos, your name and what you said are sent there when Andreas makes a draft, and the finished text is sent there again to be translated into English.
• Implemio built the website and runs it, and has access to the database to keep it running.

The notification on Andreas's phone travels through the phone's own notification service (Apple or Google). The content is encrypted on the way, so they cannot read it.

When we post about a job on our Facebook page, the text and photos are sent to Meta, which handles them under its own terms.

Several of these are American companies. Where information is processed outside the EU and EEA, this is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Visitor statistics without cookies

We count visits to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. This uses no cookies, and your IP address is not stored. We store the page you viewed, the language, the website you came from (the domain only), any campaign tag in the link, whether you used a phone, tablet or computer, and whether you tapped the phone number.

To count you as one visitor over a day, we store a code made from your IP address, your browser and a random key that is replaced every day. Once the key has been replaced, the code cannot be linked to you. The statistics are deleted after 13 months. The legal basis is legitimate interest.

Cookies and content from others

The website sets one cookie, which remembers whether you chose Norwegian or English. It is used for nothing else.

The map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap and only loads when you scroll down to it. OpenStreetMap then receives your IP address and knows which browser you use, as every website you visit does.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries, with photos and email notifications: 24 months.
• Notes and photos from jobs: 24 months. What has been published stays online until we take it down, or until you ask us to.
• Visitor statistics: 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we have stored about you, have mistakes corrected, have your information deleted, restrict what we use it for, object to our using it, and receive a copy of it. If you have said yes to something, you can withdraw it. We reply within a month.

If you believe we are handling your information in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no). We would appreciate it if you raised it with us first.

How to ask for deletion

Email avk@kartfjordelektro.no or call +47 908 01 556 and tell us what you want deleted: an enquiry, a customer review, a photo or a post on our Facebook page. Give the name and phone number you used, so we can find it. We will delete it and let you know when it is done.

Our Facebook app is only used to post on our own Facebook page. We do not collect any information about you from Facebook. If you want something we have posted there removed, ask in the same way.
